Make the Pollsters Pay

I was interrupted at dinner this evening by a pollster who wanted my opinion. She, of course, was being paid by the company. She clearly wanted my opinion, but wasn't willing to pay for my time. I explained that if SHE was being paid, I should be earning dollars too. My time is valuable - to me, if not to her or her company. What ethical construct is she in? "Oh," she said, "This is about your taxes." SO WHAT??? That's not earning me any dollars. She's stealing my time with no compensation.

I say...MAKE the POLLSTERS pay. DON'T answer their questions - even if you are interested in the topic. You are NOT required to answer. They make THEIR money off of you.
